Round Table Discussion Realizing Nutrition Outcomes in Myanmar

September 26, 2016, 8:00AM to 5:00 PM

Summit Park View Hotel, Yangon

This event will bring you up to date on the latest programs and research on nutrition and food security relevant to Myanmar. It will be facilitated by experts and practitioners from the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR), International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), International Development Research Center (IDRC) Canada, International Potato Center (CIP), and Foodstart. Attached is the RTD Flyer for more information. Dialogues will be on the following themes (tentative):

· Myanmar nutrition and food security snapshot

· Current programs and strategies to address malnutrition including the first 1000 days campaign and scaling up nutrition program

· Leveraging nutrition outcomes from agriculture (root and tuber crops for nutrition; beans, pulses and legumes for nutrition; bio-intensive gardening; family farming; and integrated school-based programming)
